About the Map - Community Maps

What are 'Community Maps'?

Community Maps allows individuals and community groups to find out about each other and enables them to work together to shape and monitor developments in their area.

The maps allow free open access to information that may otherwise be ignored or hard to get hold of, and aims to notify people about change in their area, and also to get them actively involved in this change.

Community Maps are on-line GIS-based interactive maps of East London, the lower Lea Valley and the Thames Gateway. This map includes a range of data and is a searchable resource available to all.

The Community Maps website is the result of the Mapping Change for Sustainable Communities project.
